Bokhin Ayin Presented with Certificate of Honor

Thank you to Daying Culture Media Company who invited our Bokhin Ayin Team as special guests to a winter Naadam in the Plain Blue Banner City of Inner Mongolia and presented an award of excellence to team member, Lavell “American Hangai” Marshall. This Naadam was a particular Naadam for the up-and-coming young male wrestlers of Xilingol. Enkhmende and Manglai (pictured above), friends and supporters of Bokhin Ayin and students of Hohoo Bagsh (pictured below), both wrestled well and medaled in the Naadam. Daying Culture Media Company presented Lavell with a Jodag (mongolian wrestling jacket), a plaque of honor, and a small monetary contribution to help support Bokhin Ayin.

Lavell and Bokhin Ayin are honored to receive this award, which recognizes our efforts in sharing Mongolian Bokh internationally with the rest of the world. We are proud of the team effort- Lavell for his excellence in Mongolian Wrestling, pioneering the way for other foreign wrestlers to join the sport, and for his teaching and dedication to spreading Bokh. Oyuntana for her translation work (Mongolian, Chinese, English) and her endless work background work of all things Bokhin Ayin. Ariela for pioneering women’s Bokh and contributing to the behind the scenes of all things Bokhin Ayin. Hohoo for his invaluable Bokh knowledge and support. And all of our supporters, affiliates, athletes, and friends- thank YOU for your belief and support in our dream. Without all of us on this “Wrestler’s Journey”, none of this would be possible. We have only just begun sharing this beautiful art with the world and we hope to continue building relationships that transcend national boundaries to manifest our common goal. We can’t do it alone- it takes a tribe!
